A bit of personal history
I was born on 25 March 1957 in the small town of Bothaville in the Free State, South Africa. My father was the pastor of the local Apostolic Faith Mission Church. My mother, a girl from Bloemfontein, gave birth to me after 36 hours of labour.
We moved to Cape Town when I was two years old and my father became the Pastor of the Maitland congregation. At the age of four we moved to Johannesburg, where I spent my school years.
I was educated at Crosby Laerskool (Crosby Primary School) and at Hoër Seunskool Helpmekaar. (Helpmekaar High School for Boys)
After school I joined the South African Navy for 18 months and then I went on to Pretoria University where I studied BA (Drama) a degree that qualifies you only for teaching or for being a waiter.
I became a professional actor and have been doing various jobs in the industry for more or less three decades.Likes and dislikes:
